About Janet Savage

Janet Savage brings

  • professionalism,
  • a strong analytical background,
  • keen intuition,
  • respect for different cultures and lifestyles, and
  • a soothing story telling manner

Janet, why did you make the leap from your former profession to hand analysis?

After 30 years in the public health and adult education fields, I was ready for a change. In 1998, a friend suggested I do a hand reading. That powerful experience prompted me to study hand analysis. In time, I realized I’d found my new profession. I am thrilled to be able to apply my years of experience in public health in the field and in academia to my practice. I bring expertise in leadership training, health and career counseling and in adult education.

Are you a psychic?

I’m not a psychic, and I don’t predict the future. But I do use my intuition to find the right stories to explain each client’s Life Purpose and Life Lesson as well as unique gifts and coping tools. I balance my intuition with the science of hand analysis to both read and explain the story the hands tell.

Hand reading is a science?

Yes. I studied hand analysis at the International Institute of Hand Analysis in Tiburon, California. www.handanalysis.net Richard Unger, who developed this modern approach to hand analysis after decades of research, was one of my teachers. Today, I serve on the Institute’s faculty and teach future hand analysts. Applying my academic background to the coursework, I feel completely satisfied that hand analysis has a strong scientific foundation.

How can the information in my hands really bring about change in my life?

What I love most about hand analysis is its impact on people’s lives. If people can believe in themselves more and identify their special gifts, they can contribute more fully to society.

I guess that makes me a hand reading activist! And that title suits me just fine. I’ve always been an outspoken advocate for positive change and a bit of an adventurer and risk taker.

So you’re an adventurer…in what ways?

I’ve lived around the world in every environment from cities to countryside. For that reason, I feel a connection to many different cultures and ways of life.

As someone comfortable with adventure travel and intense sports, I knew that the new business I chose would have to move me, intrigue me, excite me. Working somewhat outside the mainstream feels like another great adventure.

How did you choose the name Hand Tales?

Part of my own life purpose has to do with using words creatively. I live that purpose in seeing and telling the rich, deep stories of people’s lives.
